Break at Home Geode

Geodes are magical rocks that when broken open reveal the beauty and wonder of the earth. These are comprised of a beautiful crystalline structure composed of mostly quartz. However, occasionally you may find some with calcite in the center.

Geodes give off positive chi into a room or home environment and promote relaxation. They symbolize womb energy and are perfect for supporting you through rebirth and transformation with a calm, grounded vibration.

Enjoy this hands-on activity with children or even in ceremony. To break them open, place on concrete and use a chisel placed in the center of the rock and tap it gently. Keep moving your chisel around the rock along the circumference tapping little by little until the geode cracks into two halves. 

Alternately, you can take a rubber mallet to the rock, but be prepared for it to bust into numerous pieces. Always wear protective eye covering when breaking open geodes.
