Cacao + Drum Circle with Andrew Carter

This is a private Cacao + Drum Circle that will open your heart, connect you to nature, inspire your spirit and promote wellbeing. 

This is an in-person event where we'll gather outdoors at The Sunnywilde!

Cacao is a sacred plant medicine used since ancient times for healing the body, mind, and soul. Through this guided experience, you'll discover the beauty of working with cacao to open and explore the depths of your heart. No prior experience is needed.

We’ll also work with drum medicine to assist us in grounding to mother earth, balancing the heart and opening us to greater levels of unity, wholeness and peace.

What You’ll Need:

We will be seated on the ground for this event. Blankets will be provided and chairs will be available. You may want to bring your own blanket, cushion - whatever makes you feel comfortable! If you have difficulty sitting on the ground, simply let us know and a chair may be provided. We want you to feel comfortable and relaxed.

About Cacao:

Cacao is the pure, raw and unrefined form of chocolate. It is bitter to taste and possesses a powerhouse of nutrients such as fiber, iron, magnesium, potassium, protein, and antioxidants. It has a stimulating effect on the body and is known for its heart opening qualities that guide you deeper within to explore what's there. When we come together in ritual, we work with ceremonial grade cacao in a sacred way to engage with the spirit and energy of the plant that has been produced with such love through mindful farming practices. This is very different than engaging with chocolate as candy and has a positive impact on wellbeing as well as our global ecosystem.

This event will take place in-person at The Sunnywilde in Sellersburg, IN on Oct 21 at 7:00pm EST. Doors open at 6:45pm EST. 

Note there may be location changes due to weather. Andrew will communicate any updates in the group chat.

While cacao has been enjoyed and celebrated ceremonially for thousands of years, it is important to take precautions based on your individual health journey. Cacao contains theobromine which increases the heart rate and is a vasodilator. It may not be appropriate for those with serious heart conditions or high blood pressure. Those taking antidepressants such as MAOI's or SSRI's may experience migraines hours after. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it may be best to lower your dose until you know how it interacts with your system. If you have any concerns, it is advisable to consult with your doctor before consumption.
