We will begin with a live welcome and preparation gathering so that you can establish your intentions, understand the rhythm of the journey, and feel prepared to work with ceremonial cacao
Seven Live Shamanic Cacao Ceremonies
Each gathering will guide you through one of the seven initiations through teaching, ceremonial cacao, guided journeywork, embodied practice, reflection, and integration. Together, they create a cumulative arc of capacity expansion, allowing you to deepen your relationship with each initiation while experiencing how the seven capacities support and strengthen one another.
The live ceremonies will take place on Tuesdays at 7pm EST. If you feel the call to join, but know you will miss a few gatherings, don't sweat it. I will guide you through each experience and help you prepare for working with cacao and creating ceremonial space within your own home. All that is required is a willingness to enter the journey with curiosity, intention, and an openness to your own experience.
Plant medicine is a broad term used to describe working intentionally with plants for physical, emotional, energetic, or spiritual well-being. Some plant medicines are psychedelic, but many are not.
In Evolution of Light, we work with ceremonial cacao, a gentle, non-psychedelic plant ally traditionally associated with the heart. Cacao does not cause hallucinations or create an altered state in the way psychedelic medicines can. Instead, it may support greater presence, emotional openness, embodied awareness, and connection during ceremony.
This plant has been used for thousands of years by indigenous peoples for its heart opening effects for spiritual healing and remembering. She is gentle but powerful. Cacao is considered a superfood with powerful antioxidants and contains the perfect ratio of calcium and magnesium for absorption by the body. If you eat chocolate and drink coffee or caffeine, you should have not have any issue. Cacao is a vasodilator so it will increase blood flow and act as a stimulant with energizing effects but without the crash of caffeine. As always, please check with your physician if you have any concerns or are taking prescription medications.
You will remain conscious and in relationship with your own experience throughout every gathering. No previous experience with cacao or plant medicine is required, and you are always invited to honor your body and choose the amount that feels appropriate for you.
Ceremonial cacao is non-psychedelic, and most people can work with it comfortably. However, cacao affects every body differently, and it may not be appropriate in a full ceremonial serving for everyone.
Please consult your qualified healthcare provider before participating if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a heart condition or blood-pressure concern, are sensitive to stimulants, take prescription medication, or have another health consideration that could be affected by cacao.
You are always encouraged to honor your body. You may choose a smaller serving, use another supportive beverage, or participate without drinking cacao. The depth of your experience is not dependent upon how much cacao you consume.
