Recently I had a chance to take over a friend’s Instagram story to talk about anything I wanted. I chose to talk about ways to clear and protect your energy field because I think this is so important, and I find that people generally don’t think about this or even know much about it really. Most understand the importance of good self care, things like taking a hot bath, getting a massage, or going for a walk in nature. It’s important to take time out for ourselves to reconnect and re-center. When we do this, we feel restored and whole again, as if we’ve reclaimed fragments of ourselves that have been scattered about during the hustle and bustle of daily life.
But did you know that there is much more to your body that informs your mood, energy levels, and overall wellbeing? We are comprised of energy. We have an auric field that consists of layers of energy that surround the physical body. And we have energy centers called chakras that spin like little vortices and align down the center of our body, each connecting with a gland in the body. Most people aren’t aware of this because it is basically all the parts of ourselves that are unseen. How would we know?!
However, we do experience the results of this energy flow.
When we come into contact with others, our heart and energy fields interact. Our heart field is the most powerful field in the human body. It is 5,000 times more magnetically charged than the brain and it’s field has been measured at 15' outside the body. That’s only limited because the measuring device has limitations. It is thought by some that it reaches up to 50’ and beyond!
Have you ever came into contact with someone and just didn’t like them, but couldn’t put your finger on why? That’s energy. We’ll often find ourselves continuing to be around people like this because we think it’s rude to avoid them. But energy never lies. If it doesn’t feel good, listen to it.
We also create energetic cord connections with people. This is most common with people we are close to or around frequently. These cord connections can drain us of our energy and leave us feeling seriously depleted if we aren’t aware of it. This is why it is so important and valuable to our wellbeing to learn how to clear, balance and protect our energy field.
Our energy centers are constantly sending and receiving information. Through this process, we are informing and creating the internal environment for our cells to either thrive or suffer. This is one way we create our level of health and wellbeing.
Information in the energetic field informs the thoughts, which create the stories that result in feelings. The feelings create the emotions that create our vibration. This vibration is what becomes your energetic signature. From this, you either attract or repel the events, people and things in your life to create your reality. It’s really that simple!
